A Glimpse behind the curtain...​

Matthew is a 37 year old photographer, living in Victoria, British Colombia, and has been shooting since 2006. He started in adventure sports and landscape photography (surfing, kayaking, and windsurfing), and has migrated now more towards portraits and fashion in the last year as new avenues have opened up to him. A passion of his is doing couples and family portraiture, as he absolutely loves seeing the smiles on clients faces after each set. A builder and designer by hobby. he loves to build his own equipment, and photographic solutions. For the next year, he has assigned himself a special creative project to explore UV and IR spectrum photography, as well as some underwater portraiture. Matthew owns and runs FireLight Photography and is based in Victoria, BC. He regularly travels the island looking for new photographic adventures, and rewarding locales to conduct future shoots from. Matthew specializes in Environmental Portraits, Head shots, and Event photography.
